| Hoy no tenemos mucho tiempo para escribir, pero tampoco queremos dejar el blog abandonado, así que lo único que haré es subir una foto y hablar un poco de una tendencia urbana. La foto la tomé a unos cuantos metros del "Mannequin Pis" en Bruselas a principios de junio, y me resultó interesante porque, aunque no sé cuándo se colocó la imagen ahí ni cuando se agregaron los comentarios satelitales, pareciera que sólo los del PSOE salen a viajar. La imagen es una muestra de "graffiti de plantilla" (o stencil), una manifestación artística/social que al parecer tiene ya una década o dos incubándose pero yo sólo he comenzado a notar recientemente y pensaba que era un fenómeno europeo, pero al buscar ejemplos on-line me sorprendí al descubrir que las mejores muestras que encontré--las más cargadas políticamente--estaban en la capital de Argentina. Aquí hay un par de enlaces a un blog de un yanqui que vive en Buenos Aires y se ha dedicado a compilar fotos de graffiti de plantilla en diferentes partes del mundo, pero ojo con las bonearenses: Robert Wright's "Sign O' the Times, parts 24-26" and "Sign O' the Times, parts 27-30". | We don't have a lot of time to write today, but we don't want to abandon the blog for too long, either, so all I'll do is post a picture and talk a bit about an urban trend. The photo was taken a few yards away from the "Mannequin Pis" in Brussels in early June, and I thought it was interesting because, although I don't know when that image was placed there or when its satellite comments were added, it seems only socialist Spaniards do any travelling abroad. The image is an example of "stencil graffiti", a social/artistic manifestation that's been incubating for a decade or two now but I've only started noticing recently and I thought was a mainly European phenomenom, but searching for examples on-line I was surprised to find that the best samples I found--the most politically charged--were in South America.
