Radiohead: I love you, too

Some of you may recall that a few months ago, after noticing an Apple sticker on one of Thom Yorke's guitars, I wrote something like "whatever Radiohead does, it cannot be wrong". On top of the obvious stuff, like releasing perfect albums or embracing the way consumer acquire their music nowadays instead of fighting against it, there are all the smaller details, like the sticker, or their webcasts. Well, last weekend I got further proof of my special connection with the band. I stopped by Houston for a day and was finally able to hold the In Rainbows box set in my hands. It's difficult to explain the satisfaction that the texture, weight, design, dimensions, and layout of this limited edition provides; I was amazed at how much care was put into every little aspect of it, how everything fits so perfectly together, how nicely the foldout book slides in and out out of the hardcover case. I pulled out the LPs from their paper and anti-static plastic sleeves just to feel their weight, wondering when--if ever--I'd be able to play them on a decent sound system. I admired the wordless 12" artwork book. Then I started flipping through the double-sized CD booklet, surprised to see the lyrics to the songs, and reached the last page, where the nicest surprise was still awaiting me:

¿Marketing inteligente, o coincidencia?

Clever marketing ploy, or just plain coincidence?
