Radiohead vs. Portishead
En el último par de meses ha habido un puñado de artistas o cantantes que me gustan haciendo versiones de otros artistas o cantantes que me gustan; R.E.M. tocando "Munich" (de Editors) en la BBC (aunque debo admitir que fue más mi emoción por el hecho en sí que por la actuación misma...), o Prince apropiándose de "Creep" después de que Radiohead ha prácticamente desconocido la canción, resultando en lo que algunos afirman es la mejor actuación en Coachella desde, pues, Radiohead. Hoy me enteré de que Radiohead compartió un pequeño video de Thom y Jonny haciendo una versión acústica de mi canción favorita del disco nuevo de Portishead, "The Rip". Como de costumbre, no decepcionan. | In the last couple of months there have been a handful of artists or bands I really like covering other artists or bands I really like; R.E.M. playing Editors' "Munich" on the BBC (although I have to admit I was more excited when I read about this then when I actually saw their performance...), or Prince claiming the rights to "Creep" after Radiohead has all but disowned the song, resulting in what some have called the best performance at Coachella since, well, Radiohead. Today I found out Radiohead posted a little video of Thom and Jonny covering my favorite song off the new Portishead album, "The Rip". As usual, they do not disappoint. | |
